{"id":684,"date":"2013-04-23T10:16:36","date_gmt":"2013-04-23T10:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.brosig-koch.de\/?page_id=684"},"modified":"2013-04-23T10:16:36","modified_gmt":"2013-04-23T10:16:36","slug":"keynotes-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/muc2013.mensch-und-computer.de\/en\/delfi\/programm\/keynotes-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Keynotes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h2>Ravi Vatrapu<\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Teaching Analytics: Concepts, Methods, and Tools<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Teaching Analytics is conceived as a subfield of learning\u00a0analytics that focuses on the design, development, evaluation, and\u00a0education of visual analytics methods and tools for teachers in\u00a0primary, secondary, and tertiary educational settings.\u00a0 Teaching\u00a0analytics aims to develop innovative solutions to assist and augment\u00a0teachers dynamic diagnostic decision-making in the classrooms of the\u00a021st century. An example usage scenario (but not limited to) is the use\u00a0of teaching analytics methods and tools in high-performance classrooms\u00a0that are characterized by 1:1 computing, high cognitive density, and big data.\u00a0Drawing from the two international workshops (TapTA 2012 &amp; IWTA 2013)\u00a0and the NEXT-TELL EU project, this talk will identify challenges and\u00a0opportunities, highlight emerging concepts, methods and tools, and\u00a0outline directions for future work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related publications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>S\u00f8rum, H., Andersen, K.N., &amp; Vatrapu, R.
